Starting July 1, 2024, the Florida Hometown Heroes Down Payment Assistance (DPA) program is getting a significant boost with an additional $100 million in funding. This expansion spells great news for local workers statewide.

Increased Assistance, Broader Eligibility
Last year saw a surge in demand when down payment assistance funds were raised from $25,000 to $35,000. Now, with additional funding injected, first-time homebuyers could once again access up to $35,000 or 5% of the loan amount, whichever is less.

Who Is Eligible?
The Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program, initially designed for frontline heroes, is broadening its eligibility criteria. Any full-time worker employed by a Florida-based business, meeting income eligibility and program requirements, could qualify.
