Highland Meadows Estates is a gated 55+ community made up manufactured mobile homes. It boasts easy access to the beach and commuter routes, and unlike most mobile home communities, allows you to own your own land. Construction began in the late 60s, and today there are nearly 400 homes in total. There are a broad range of floorplans available: 1 to 3 bedrooms from 720 to 2,358sqft. Most units also feature screened outdoor seating, and an attached carport. The community is managed by Highland Meadows Estates Association, Inc., which keeps dues low by keeping services to a minimum. However, they do provide an impressive set of amenities including 2 clubhouses, 2 pools, tennis, and a fitness center. The HOA allows 2 small pets (30lb limit), limits leases to 6 months, and only allow passenger vehicles. No trucks or motorcycles are allowed. Deerfield Beach is halfway between the nightlife hubs of Fort Lauderdale and Delray Beach. Residents also enjoy local waterfront recreation at hotspots such as Deerfield Beach Island Park and Deerfield Beach International Pier.
