Golden Lakes
Golden Lakes is an active, secure 55+ community made up of single-floor attached villas, and multi-unit condo buildings. Constructed from 1974 to 1992, the community is comprised of two main sections: Phase A and Phase B. Phase A is on the northern side and contains 1,088 units. Phase B is on the southern side and contains 800 units. Condo buildings are a mix of two-stories without elevators, and four-stories with elevators. For units without laundry machines, common laundry facilities are available. Units range from 1 to 3 bedrooms, and typically feature screened balconies or Florida Rooms with waterfront views. All units provide assigned parking for one vehicle, with additional guest parking available. Each section is managed by its own separate association with its own full set of resort-style amenities: an active clubhouse, Olympic-sized pools, multiple satellite pools, tennis courts, courtesy bus service, on-site synagogue, and much more. The community aims to provide a full-service resort experience, complete with social directors which manage a broad range of specialty clubs, events, and excursions. All residents are welcome to attend any social event in either section. Section B does not allow pets, while Section A allows indoor cats or birds. Golden Lakes is in western West Palm Beach, near both the Florida Turnpike and the Palm Beach International Airport. Residents have access to multiple nature outlets, and a healthy variety of South Florida nightlife at hubs such as Clematis Street and Downtown Lake Worth.
Find Golden Lakes west of the Florida Turnpike, north of Belvedere Rd, and its entrance south of Okeechobee Blvd. (MAP)
