Deer Run

Deer Run is a gated equestrian community situated in the heart of Loxahatchee. Construction began in the late 60s, and today it is made up of nearly 300 single family homes and farms, and all lots are zoned Agricultural Residential. Lot sizes range from 5 to 15 acres, and a wide variety of home sizes and design styles are represented. The property association manages miles of horse trails throughout the community, and many residents enjoy keeping horses, goats, chickens, and other animals in a serene, spacious environment. The community is managed by Deer Run Property Owners Association, which provides gated security, maintains the trails, and hosts a series of community events, tack sales, and holiday parades. Per county ordinances, living in RVs is prohibited, and all animals must be leashed or secured. Loxahatchee is a rapidly-growing area in Palm Beach County, and allows for more relaxed, nature-oriented living in comparison to the rest of South Florida. Families enjoy visiting the nearby Lion Country Safari, shopping at The Mall at Wellington Green, or attending a show at iThink Financial Amphitheatre. Lake Okeechobee is a half hour drive to the west, and the Florida Turnpike is 10 miles to the east.
